With two decades of working experience, Jason Cotter brings extensive expertise to the hospitality, multi-family, mixed-use, and retail real estate sectors. His multifaceted skill set encompasses operations, acquisitions, development, disposition, underwriting, product conceptualization, brand and operator selection, contract negotiation, asset management, and portfolio management.
Beyond his working experience, Jason brings a unique perspective to Eloise and its endeavors, having grown up living in hotels as a child and through his college years. Those hotels included the St. Regis in NYC, the New York Palace, the Waldorf Astoria, the Beverly Hilton, and the Omni Georgetown. This history is a driver of the group’s branding.
As the Managing Principal of Eloise Capital, a boutique real estate development and advisory firm, Jason spearheads the company's strategic initiatives. Eloise Capital focuses on advisory, asset management, development, and acquisition of real estate assets, primarily focusing on hospitality.
Previous Leadership Roles
Before leading Eloise Capital, Jason was the Senior Vice President of hospitality at Bricapital, a private equity and asset management firm focusing on the Caribbean and Latin America. In this capacity, he oversaw the hospitality portfolio, managed operations, and ensured optimal performance and returns. His role extended to leading local hospitality investment and asset management teams, conducting underwriting analysis, due diligence, and executing value-added asset-level business plans.
Consulting Expertise
Jason's career includes a directorial role at RJC, a boutique hospitality consulting firm. During his tenure, he contributed to high-profile engagements, such as Hotel Arista, Hard Rock Hotel, and The Raleigh. His strategic advisory assignments for third-party clients covered diverse areas, including food and beverage concepts, brand development, and principal management/operations, where he often served as acting General Manager.
